Members may use the fields for unlimited personal training at no cost. Please use the Bookings page to reserve time.

Visitor with Members

Non-member visitors may train at paws4Fun fields when accompanied by a Paws4Fun member. Please follow the instructions on the Bookings page.

Member Practice - Winter Indoors, 2023-2024

PawsFun does not have a dedicated winter practice space. However, some Paws4Fun equipment is stored at the SilverDawn arena, and this space is available for Paws4Fun members to book for their private or group practices.

Horse Arena with Agility Space, at SilverDawn Stable

LOCATION - SilverDawn Stable is a horse boarding stable located at 971 Sanderson Rd., Oxford Mills, Ont.

The SilverDawn Stable is available for the use of Paws4un members and their non-member guests who wish to work with their dogs from 4-November-2023 through May 2024 or until the Paws4Fun equipment is returned to the outdoor fields. Note that the space is not heated. Practice times may be booked by Paws4Fun members from 12:00pm to 10 00pm, 7 days a week. The arena is in use in the mornings by Lorna Gendreau and Jan Kirk, and also by the owners of SilverDawn.

The arena, with a dirt floor surface, is used to store hay and exercise the horses, with a working area of about 55' x 110' which may be used to set up agility equipment. Paws4Fun equipment consists of a dog walk, A-frame, tire, teeter, weaves, jumps and tunnels. The first person to book a practice session for that day will set up the equipment needed and then leave the equipment out. The last person to book the last practice session of the day will put the equipment away. The owners may assist the first and last person should help be needed with large equipment. COST - $10 cash per person (exact change please), to be left in the envelope hanging on the inside of the pedestrian door. This covers arena rental. Also, please sign your name on the sign in sheet. You may bring more than one dog and there is no time limit, unless there are back-to-back bookings/users.

LIABILITY - Users must sign a liability waiver.                                 VACCINATIONS - all dogs must be up to date on vaccinations.

NOTES - 

  • To walk from the arena to the parking lot, you must cross the paddock via a gravel laneway which may be muddy or icy. The horses may or may not be in the stable. Owners of SilverDawn will ensure you get to the arena safely, opening and closing gates if required. If the owners are not available to help people through the gates and the horses are out, please do not cross the paddock on your own. People may walk from the parking lot through the backyard into the first field, turn right around the riding ring, and proceed behind the old barn and make their way to the arena.

  • One person should be able to move the jumps and tunnels. If you want to move the large equipment, bring a friend. Or SilverDawn owners could assist, if available.

  • There are lights along the sides of the arena, sufficient for practice at night.

  • There are no bathroom facilities.

  • Please pick up after your dogs, and take the bag home for disposal.

  • Dogs may run off leash in the field behind the arena.

  • There are 3 dogs on the property. Drive with care.
