Training Schedule 2018/19 Season

Agility Classes
During the spring/summer/fall season, all classes are held on our fields at 2840 Taylor Road, Kemptville. Click here for a map and directions. Sunday Classes will be pre-empted by K-9 Kup (June, July, August and September) and by AAC Trials. 

Winter Classes
Winter classes are being held at K9 Sense in Manotick  from October to December and in the Spencerville Arena in 2019.  Classes will take place on Thursday evenings at both locations.  Winter fees are $115 for members (membership must be paid) and $140 for non-members. Fee payment information is on the main training page, Contact Linda Howie for more information on any of the agility classes, winter practices or tricks classes listed below.

1) Classes in Manotick are from 6 to 8 with Linda Howie teaching and  run from October 25 to December 13.  

2) Members are invited to join classes at Spencerville on Thursday nights: 6-7 PM for beginners 1 and 2, and 7-8  PM for prestarters. The first session runs from January 3 to February 21 and the second session from February 28 to April 18. Students are asked to come early for the first class to help with set up or stay a few minutes after the second class to put equipment away. A minimum of 3 students is needed.

Winter Practice
Silverdawn is once more opening their doors for agility practice to Paws4Fun members. Practice times are 7:00 to 9:00 PM weekdays and Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:00 to noon. Silverdawn is located at 971 Sanderson Road, Oxford Mills (southwest of Kemptville). The cost is $10 per person per class. Supervised winter practice is also being offered at the Drummond arena in Spencerville. Details are on the winter practice page (under Training).

Fees:  $100.00 members and $120.00 non-members for outdoor classes.  (see PayPal button on main Training page). Winter classes are $115 for member and $140 for non-members. Registration forms with more details are also available on the main training page. 8 hours of class time is provided. It might be eight one hour classes or six 80 minute classes. 

Winter Tricks Classes

There will be 3 tricks seminars presented by Janet Parks at K9 Sports Centre,1441 Main Street in Stittsville. This facility is heated and there is indoor plumbing. Yay! The cost per seminar is $50 per dog for those who have a 2019 membership and $70 for non members. Each seminar will be 2.5 hours from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. We need a minimum of 3 participants. There is a maximum of 6 participants. The 3 tricks seminars are designed to build on each other-- a description of each seminar is given on the Calendar or you can click here to see all three together. CARO Rally Obedience Classes

Novice, Advanced and Excellent classes will be offered starting September 17 for 8 weeks at the Kemptville Canine Centre. See schedule for address. The cost will be $100 for members and $120 for non-members (see PayPal button on the main Training page,)  The contact for more information is Jane at CAROClasses@paws4funagility,ca.

Your instructor will tell you what your cost will be as it varies by class and whether you are a member.

When using the practice fields, would you please move the equipment such that the grass will be maintained in good condition.  It does not need to be moved anywhere in particular, merely a foot to the left or right to a new spot.  THANKS !
