Starters/Advanced will be assigned a time slot between 9a.m. And 1p.m. , Masters will be assigned a time slot between 2p.m. And 6p.m.    You should arrive 15 mins before your assigned time but no earlier than that. If you do not arrive during that 15 mins that leaves you your 5 mins warm up time to warm up and potty your dog.

 

General Information - (Limited Entry Trial)

This is an Agility Association of Canada (AAC) sanctioned trial that will be held under AAC rules and regulations. Note that the Paws4Fun Agility Trials Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. There shall be no refunds for acts of God, inclement weather, missed runs, entries withdrawn after the closing date, if a dog and/or handler are dismissed from competition, regardless of the reason for such dismissal, or in the event the dog is absent on the day of the trial. However, refunds will be given to a competitor whose bitch comes into season or whose dog is injured, provided that the trial secretary (TrialsSecretary@Paws4FunAgility.ca) is informed prior to the trial date and a certificate from a veterinarian is provided at that time, if required. It is the Paws4Fun Agility policy to provide, on a case-by-case basis, either refund of monies or credits to be used at a future trial based on a decision by the Board of Directors, however, an administrative fee may be retained on all refunded entries. FEO runs are allowed. Please indicate them on the entry form.


Title Trial: Dogs will be divided into 6 height groups in 4 divisions: Regular, Special, Veteran and Double Drop Veteran. Masters Standard is open to dogs with an AADC title; Masters Games are open to dogs who have 3 corresponding Advanced Games qualifying scores (Q’s) in the same game under 2 different judges. Advanced Standard is open to dogs with an ADC title; Advanced Games are open to dogs who have 2 corresponding Starters Games Q’s. Starters Standard is open to dogs that do not have an ADC title. Starters Games are open to dogs who have not earned two Q’s under 2 different judges in that Starters Game. Team Relay and Steeplechase are open to all levels. Note that move-ups will be allowed during the trial, provided space and time allow.


Obstacles: All obstacles conform to AAC specifications. Obstacles include A-frame, Dog Walk, See-Saw, Weave Poles, Flexible Tunnels, Self-Healing Tire Jump, Ascending Spread Jump, Triple Jump, Double Bar Jump, Wall Jump, and Single Bar Jumps (winged and wingless). All contacts are rubberized. An electronic timing system will be used. No table will be used at this trial per AAC rules.


Facilities: The trial will be held outdoors on the Paws4Fun Agility grass fields and will proceed rain or shine. Portable washrooms are available. Bring your own seating, drinking water and dog crates. Bring your own seating, drinking water and dog crates. There is plenty of space for setting up shade tents, which are recommended, as shade is limited. No Tenting at this trial, car/ crating only please. There will be access to a pool with non- potable water to cool the dogs Due to covid there will be no cooling pool so please plan to keep your dog cool. For those who wish to crate their dogs in their cars, limited parking space is available inside the fenced perimeter. Note that while events are running in Ring #1 the perimeter gate will be closed, and vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit.


Dog Aggression: Dogs must social distance as well please-6 feet apart at all times unless they are from the same household. All dogs must be kept in an X-pen, crate, in your car, or on leash when not in the ring (this includes the grounds and parking lot). Note that the use of retractable leashes is not permitted on the Paws4Fun grounds. In order to avoid incidents of dog aggression towards other dogs and/or people, please give all dogs lots of room and be aware of your dog’s behaviour at all times. Any dog engaging in aggressive behaviour at any time will be required to leave the grounds. In such cases, NO refunds will be issued.


Ring Etiquette: If you are not entered in a specific event, you are NOT permitted in the ring during the walk-through. If you are entered in an event and you are coaching other (or being coached by others), please show consideration for the rest of the competitors by doing your coaching OUTSIDE the ring and do not block other competitors, or hold strategy discussion in the ring during the walk-through. Thank you for showing respect for all competitors. Leashes, collars food are not allowed in the ring at any time. Nonaudible toys in good condition are allowed in the ring only during FEO runs and may be thrown up to 10 feet.


Awards: (please advise the Scorekeeper by email @ animals6humans1@gmail.com if your dog achieves a Title at the Trial) Ribbons are self serve.

 Qualifying Rosettes for all event qualifiers in Starters and ribbons in Advanced and Masters 

 Ribbons minimum awarded for 1st through 4th place, in each of Mini & Open

 Title Rosette for any dog achieving an AAC title at the trial

Ribbons will be handed out by the scorekeeper at the shed. Please come on by and collect your ribbons.

Fees must be paid within 24 hours of receipt of registration to hold your spot. If fees are not paid with the 24 hours, your spot may be given to someone else.

Note: all events on Saturday 8-August are full. You may register to be on the wait list.

Instructions:

  1. Click - the big green Entry Form button (enter up to 4 dogs per form).
  2. Fill - the form, and click on the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the entry form
    • Your completed entry will be emailed to the Paws4Fun Trials Secretary.
    • A copy of your completed entry will be emailed to you.
  3. Pay - by the option you selected in your entry form, using instructions therein.

Your entry will be confirmed via email by the Paws4Fun Trials Secretary when accepted.

No entries will be allowed after closing date.
